Using this site to purchase our products means that you agree to the following conditions and terms.
ORDER PROCESSING TIME: It is our goal to ship all our orders within 48 hours. Occasionally, it may take longer.
If it will take more than 7 days, we will contact you and make sure you agree to that delay. This may be due to curing time for the soap.
ORDER CANCELLATION: Any regular soap order may be cancelled prior to shipping. Custom orders, cannot be cancelled without
paying 50% of the final price. This is to cover the cost of our time and materials, as custom orders cannot be sold other the general public.
Once an order has shipped, all sales are final. We reserve the right to cancel any unshipped order. If we need to adjust an order, we will contact you
regarding the substitution. If we do not hear from you with 48 hours, we will ship the order with the adjustments.
PICK UP POLICY: If a buyer requests to pick the order up at the farm, they must do so within 7 days, unless otherwise agreed upon.
We cannot indefinitely hold product, due to general space considerations.
CUSTOMER CONTACT INFORMATION: Should we need to contact you for any reason, you need to supply correct information. If we cannot
contact you within a week, we will cancel the order, without refunding your money. We do not wish to send product you don't want, but we do want to
be reasonable in any adjustments that need to be made.
US CUSTOMER SHIPPING INFORMATION: We do not ship internationally at this time. We are a small farm, and cannot afford tarriffs and other expenses associated with international commerce. If you know someone with in the United States that can receive it for you, we will gladly help, but this is the best we an offer. Currently, our shipping costs are determined by the cost of the order. For most orders, we ask $10 to assist with shipping, and we will absorb the cost above that. In case of very heavy items, such as logs of soap, we will ask for additional shipping assistance. We will contact you with that information before we ship the products to you. Shipping depends upon distance, weight, size and other factors, which we cannot foresee, so we ask. We ship USPS Ground Advantage for most products, and we do have a free shipping option for larger orders.
This helps us to determine shipping by way of flat rate boxes which we are most accustomed.
MISSING PACKAGES: Once a parcel is in the hands of the USPS or other shipper, we are not responsible for it. If we are delivering it, we will take precautions to keep it out of sight, but in the case of commercial delivery, please make arrangements for a safe place to be available. Unfortunately, porch piracy has become a problem, and Surfing Goat Soaps/Hames & Axle Farm is not able to refund or replace orders that are lost beyond our control. If you believe that your package has been stolen, please file a complaint with the United States Postal Service, and they will begin tracking it.
DAMAGED ITEMS: If your items arrive damaged, please capture photo documentation/proof of the damage and contact the USPS and Surfing Goat Soaps immediately, including a photo of the damaged parcel. We will assist where possible in remedying the situation, with the assistance of the USPS.
PRODUCT REFUNDS: We provide refunds only in the case of a health issue, or the delivery of an improper order. We cannot accept requests based upon scent preference, or superficial dents or damages. Our products are artisanal which means each batch is unique. If you are seeking a guaranteed condition, please look elsewhere. We do our best, but we are only human.
PRODUCT RETURNS: We cannot accept product returns, due to hygiene reasons. If a product is unsatisfactory, please contact, including photographic evidence of any damage, and we will replace the item. You are free do dispose of the original at your convenience. Please remember, this is a small farm, so our pockets are not deep, and we cannot afford to be too lenient in this regard.
ALLERGY WARNING: We put all our ingredients on our labels, so there are no surprises. It is the customer's responsibility to avoid those products that may cause them harm.
GENERAL PRODUCT WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS: It is the responsibility of each user to store and use the product appropriately. In you are new to a personal product, please spot test it before widespread use. If you experience any irritation, please disontinue use, contact your physician and Surfing Goat Soaps will refund your money, but we will need a doctor's proof of that irritation. All of our colorants and scents are made from natural products, such as clays, herbs or essential oils. We do not use any artificial colorants or fragrances. Paraben-free preservatives may be necessary in some cases, but we are more than willing to provide the information about the particular preservative.
ACCESSIBILITY: Surfing Goat Soaps is fully committed to making our soaps, and other products, accessible to everyone. This includes our website, as well as our Respite. If the website is difficult for you to navigate, please contact us at Farm@hamesaxle.com and we will do our best to rectify the situation. Please be specific as to the problem and to the page/item that is causing you problems.
Please give us feedback as to how we make make Surfing Goat Soaps easier for you to access and use. We cannot control stores that wholesale our product, but they are local and small, so they share our concerns.
PRIVACY POLICY: This policy pertains to how we, Surfing Goat Soaps and Hames & Axle Farm, collect, use and store your information. We must
follow the policies of Wix.com and other third party entities who carry our proucts. From here on, "the site," refers to the www.surfinggoatsoap.net website, and all its mirror URL's.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we collect information about your address, contact information and specific requests. Our web hosts, will automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, such information will be collected by them, about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site.
Such information may include cookies, log files, tags, beacons and other identifying information that will enable the host to provide better service. We do not have access to this information, other than reports of visitations, times of usage and such.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site. This will include name, email, phone, and address, so that we can contact you if needed. Payment information, shipping arrangements and invoices may also be stored, but we will not sell, or otherwise disseminate private information purposefully.
In the case of third parties, Wix, Google Analytics and Dreamhost may use this information for their analytics. Should you wish to opt out of Google Analytics, you may do so by contacting them at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
